It was in 2007 that Sasi' effort paid of. He beat full-time athlete Amir Zainal in the 70kg category as well as legends Augustine Lee and Kevin Chiak in heavier weight classes to emerge the Overall Champion. He is the youngest ever Mr Singapore in history and the first Indian to win it since the 70's.
